Outrage as Beloved South African DJ Gunned Down in Johannesburg.

A popular South African radio and club DJ has been fatally gunned down in the nation's economic hub Johannesburg, causing national outrage across a country struggling with entrenched crime.

Warrick Stock, who went by the name DJ Warras, was attacked in the central business district on the afternoon of Tuesday.

Officials stated the forty-year-old entertainer was accosted by three individuals, one of whom opened fire on him before escaping on foot.

The purpose of the shooting has not been established and no suspects have been apprehended have been made, as per the official statement.

The Fatal Incident

Authorities revealed that Stock was targeted as he was departing from a building near the city center landmark.

He had been present for hours at the site supervising the installation of security systems, which had been reportedly taken over by squatters, it was reported.

"Authorities believe the man was approached by three unknown suspects after parking his vehicle, and they shot at him before running from the location on foot," an official report stated.

Surveillance tape showed a suspect with dreadlocked hair and clad in what resembled a security uniform firing shots on Stock before running away.

The DJ attempted to flee after he was wounded but collapsed a short distance away.

Officials noted that Stock had an weapon on his person and no items were stolen during the attack.

Crucial forensic evidence, like cartridges, were found at the location.
