Mohamed Salah Extends Regret to Squad, Reveals Curtis Jones
Curtis Jones has shared that Mohamed Salah expressed regret to the team in the wake of the fallout from his recent interview.

The striker was dropped from a key Champions League match following making accusations and claiming his relationship with manager had deteriorated.
“He speaks for himself and he can say his own stuff,” Jones revealed. “His apology was clear and was like: ‘If my words hurt anyone, I'm sorry.’”
The head coach has refused to disclose on whether he got an explanation from the 33-year-old forward.

Jones insisted that the squad's reaction remained positive. “He was his usual self, he was smiling and we all treated him normally,” he continued.
He also noted that a player's desire to start is preferable. “It's clear there are different methods you can go about things,” he said. “However, if a player is content to just not start, then I think that’s concerning.”
Team Form
Their results have remained strong in the period after the situation. Jones believes the forward's comments were not intended to harm the team.
“When there’s been any sort of anger, the source has been from a good place,” the midfielder stated. “We’re past that now and we’re gelling well as a team, getting results and starting to win games.”
